I live in Doncaster, and spend most of my time in front of a computer screen, either gaming (<em>the MMORPG<\/em><strong>*<\/strong><em> RIFT<\/em>), fiddling around with graphics (<em>I\u2019m a \u201cpixel pusher\u201d from w-a-y back!<\/em>) <em>very<\/em> occasionally doing the odd spot of filing for \u201cThe Family Business\u201d, and\/or reading.\u00a0 I <em>used<\/em> to spend most of my time designing\/creating graphics for web sites, wallpapers and calendars for desktops, as well as making pretty email stationery for Incredimail (<em>which I no longer use<\/em>) and Outlook (<em>which I no longer use either<\/em>), or enjoying a bit of comic relief net surfing.\u00a0 I also used to do a fair bit of transcribing old family recipes from my old and tatty loose-leaf Recipe folder, which I seem to have ummm\u2026. \u201cmisplaced\u201d<strong>**<\/strong>, so I can\u2019t do <em>that<\/em> any more until it turns up again.\u00a0 The rest of my \u201cawake\u201d time is generally spent reading \u2013 mostly historical fiction, fantasy, and science fiction, together with a smattering of ancient history, Christian, Pagan, and the more esoteric religions, from pre-historic times, to around about the end of the Stuart reign in England.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My husband and I were owned by two cats \u2013 a great sook of a Russian Blue neuter boy called Arty, who had high blood pressure and had to be given a quarter of a Norvasc tablet (<em>normally used to control\u00a0human blood pressure<\/em>)\u00a0every morning \u2013 sadly, he\u2019s no longer with us. However we still have our highly neurotic and hysterical, prima donna of a Norwegian Forest Cat (<em>also neutered<\/em>) called Flipper (<em>not our choice of a name!<\/em>).\u00a0 She\u2019s prone to sudden fits of the vapours, and she\u2019ll\u00a0run away in terror at the sight normal cat \u201ctreats\u201d, like a of saucer of cream.\u00a0 She\u2019s getting a little senile in her old age (<em>she\u2019s 20 years old now<\/em>) and has decided that (<em>a<\/em>) she loves \u201cDaddy\u201d (<em>my husband Julian<\/em>) and constantly yowls loudly for \u201cDaddy pats\u201d and \u201cDaddy attention\u201d, and (<em>b<\/em>) that she dislikes \u201cMummy\u201d (<em>me<\/em>) a lot, and won\u2019t willingly come near me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Julian and I are both very anti-social geeks, with a circle of friends you could count on the fingers of one hand, and still have about three\u00a0fingers and a thumb left over. We prefer our own company most of the time, though we enjoy seeing my two daughters, and the rest of\u00a0our\u00a0family, and we quite like having the occasional\u00a0visitor. In a way it\u2019s a bit sad that we\u2019re such reclusive people, because when one of us dies, the one left will be a very lonely person indeed\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There\u2019s probably lots more I could say, but if I have one fault, it\u2019s that once I start writing, I can\u2019t stop.
